Welcome to Aven Career Finder ("Aven", "we", "us"). By using this website and its quizzes, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.
1. What Aven is
Aven is a free, no-signup web platform from Aven Academy by Kartexa with two tools: the Career Finder, which types you into one of 16 classic 4-letter personality types and uses AI to suggest up to 20 careers ranked by estimated match, and the Stream Finder, which helps students choose an academic stream (Science, Commerce, Arts & Humanities, or a vocational path) after Class 10 or before college. Both tools automatically detect your approximate location (from your IP address) to make suggestions more locally relevant — for example, surfacing government-exam or region-specific careers, or authentic Indian stream/subject terminology, where genuinely relevant. Results are generated automatically and are provided for informational and self-reflection purposes only; neither quiz is a licensed clinical or psychometric assessment.
2. Not professional advice
Aven's output is AI-generated guidance, not professional career counseling, psychological assessment, or a guarantee of job placement or success. AI can make mistakes — it can misjudge your answers, generate inaccurate or outdated information, or miss context only a human would catch. Always use your own judgment, and always double-check significant career decisions with a real, qualified person (a mentor, career counselor, or someone who knows you well) before acting on anything Aven tells you.
3. No account required
Aven does not require you to create an account or password. To show you your results and, if you choose, follow up with you, we ask for your name, email address, and phone number before you start the quiz.
4. Acceptable use
- You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum digital consent age in your country) to use Aven.
- You agree to provide accurate contact information.
- You won't attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or abuse the service, including automated scraping or attempting to overload our AI integrations.
- You won't use Aven to submit unlawful, abusive, or harmful content in free-text fields.
5. AI-generated content
Career suggestions, match percentages, scenario questions, and written summaries are generated by third-party AI models via an API. While we tune prompts for quality, AI output can be inaccurate, incomplete, or occasionally biased. Match percentages are illustrative estimates, not scientific measurements. This applies equally to the free report and the paid Premium Career Suite.
6. Data storage
Your responses, contact details, and automatically-detected location/device information are stored securely on our servers so we (Aven's administrators) can review submissions and, where relevant, follow up. See our Privacy Policy for full details on what we collect and how it's used.
6a. Automatic location detection
When you submit the contact form, Aven automatically determines your approximate location (country, state/region, city, postal/PIN code, coordinates, and time zone) from your IP address using third-party lookup services. This is not a field you fill in and cannot be edited by you — it happens automatically as part of submitting the form, and by submitting the form you acknowledge this automatic detection takes place. Separately, your browser may prompt you to share your device's precise (GPS-based) location; if you allow it, we use that more precise location instead of/alongside the IP-based one. This is entirely controlled by your browser's own permission prompt — Aven never bypasses it, and you may deny or later revoke the permission at any time in your browser settings without affecting your ability to use Aven.
6b. Email verification
On some deployments, Aven requires you to verify your email address with a one-time code before your quiz results are generated. This is to keep results tied to a real, reachable email address and to reduce spam/abuse of the service. If email verification is not enabled on a given deployment, this step is skipped automatically.
6c. Paid reports & payments
Aven offers optional, one-time-purchase digital reports — the Career Finder report, the Stream Finder report, and the Premium Career Suite — processed via Cashfree (INR) or PayPal (USD), whichever you choose at checkout. Prices are shown in the selected currency before you pay. We do not store your card, UPI, or bank details ourselves; all payment processing is handled directly by Cashfree/PayPal under their own terms and privacy policies. 6c-i. Refunds
Because every report on Aven is a digital product that is generated and delivered to you automatically and immediately upon successful payment, no refunds are granted under any circumstances once a purchase is made — this applies equally to the Career Finder report, Stream Finder report, and Premium Career Suite, regardless of gateway (Cashfree or PayPal). 6d. Analytics
Aven collects basic, aggregate traffic data (pages visited, referrer, device type, approximate timestamps) to understand usage and improve the service. This is separate from, and less detailed than, the location/device data collected when you submit the lead-capture form. See our Privacy Policy for details.
6e. Reporting abuse
If you believe content generated by Aven, or another user's use of Aven, is abusive, harmful, or violates these Terms, please use the Report Abuse page. We review reports and may take action including removing data or restricting access, at our discretion.
7. Intellectual property
The Aven name, design, and underlying code are owned by us or our licensors. You may not copy, resell, or redistribute the service without permission.
8. Service availability
We aim to keep Aven available and responsive, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted access. Features depending on third-party AI providers may occasionally be delayed or unavailable if those providers experience outages.
9. Limitation of liability
Aven is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any decisions made, or outcomes experienced, based on Aven's suggestions.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of Aven after changes are posted means you accept the updated Terms.
