Welcome to Aven Academy by Kartexa ("Aven", "we", "us"). By using this website, its quizzes, your account, or the partner program, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.

1. What Aven is

Aven Academy provides two free AI-guided tools: the Career Finder, which types you into one of 16 classic 4-letter personality types and uses AI to suggest careers ranked by estimated match, and the Stream Finder, which helps students choose an academic stream after Class 10 or before college. We also offer optional paid products — the Premium Career Suite and Resume Review — and a referral partner program. Both quiz tools automatically detect your approximate location (from your IP address) to make suggestions more locally relevant. Results are generated automatically for informational and self-reflection purposes only; neither quiz is a licensed clinical or psychometric assessment.

2. Not professional advice

Aven's output is AI-generated guidance, not professional career counseling, psychological assessment, or a guarantee of job placement or success. AI can make mistakes — it can misjudge your answers, generate inaccurate or outdated information, or miss context only a human would catch. Always use your own judgment, and always double-check significant career decisions with a real, qualified person before acting on anything Aven tells you.

3. Accounts

Some features — including saving and revisiting your reports, and purchasing paid products — require an Aven account. Creating one takes a name, email, phone number, and a password. You can log in with that password, or use a one-time code emailed to you instead if you'd rather not type a password. You're responsible for keeping your password and email account secure. Some quiz entry points also work without an account, in which case we ask for your name, email, and phone before showing results.

4. Age & consent

Many Aven users are students choosing a stream or career path, and may be under 18. If you're under 18, you may only use Aven with the awareness and consent of a parent or guardian — our signup and quiz forms ask you to confirm this. If you're a parent or guardian and believe your child used Aven without your knowledge, contact us (see our Privacy Policy) and we'll delete their data.

5. Acceptable use

• You agree to provide accurate contact information.
• You won't attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or abuse the service, including automated scraping or attempting to overload our AI integrations.
• You won't use Aven to submit unlawful, abusive, or harmful content in free-text fields.
• You won't share your account login access with others or attempt to access another user's account.

6. AI-generated content

Career suggestions, match percentages, scenario questions, and written summaries are generated by third-party AI models via an API. While we tune prompts for quality, AI output can be inaccurate, incomplete, or occasionally biased. Match percentages are illustrative estimates, not scientific measurements. This applies equally to the free report and the paid Premium Career Suite.

7. Data storage

Your account details, responses, contact information, and automatically-detected location/device information are stored securely on our servers so we can generate your results and, where relevant, follow up. 7a. Automatic location detection

When you submit the contact form, Aven automatically determines your approximate location from your IP address using third-party lookup services. This isn't a field you fill in — it happens automatically as part of submitting the form, and by submitting it you acknowledge this. Separately, your browser may prompt you to share your device's precise (GPS-based) location; if you allow it, we use that instead of/alongside the IP-based one. This is entirely controlled by your browser's own permission prompt, and you may deny or revoke it any time without affecting your ability to use Aven.

7b. Email verification

Aven requires you to verify your email address with a one-time code before your account is created, your quiz results are generated, or a partner application is submitted. This keeps results and applications tied to a real, reachable email address and reduces spam/abuse.

7c. Paid reports & payments

Aven offers optional, one-time-purchase digital reports — the Career Finder report, Stream Finder report, Premium Career Suite, and Resume Review — processed via Razorpay (INR) or PayPal (USD), whichever you choose at checkout. Prices are shown in the selected currency before you pay. We don't store your card, UPI, or bank details ourselves; all payment processing is handled directly by Razorpay/PayPal under their own terms and privacy policies. Premium Career Suite requires a completed Career Finder test first, since the report builds directly on your quiz answers. 7d. Refunds

Because every report on Aven is a digital product generated and delivered automatically upon successful payment, once your report has been successfully generated, the purchase is final and non-refundable. Refunds are granted only for genuine issues on our end — the report failing to generate after payment, or being charged more than once for the same purchase. 7e. Analytics

Aven collects basic, aggregate traffic data (pages visited, referrer, device type, approximate timestamps) to understand usage and improve the service. We don't use third-party trackers like Google Analytics or Meta Pixel — this stays on our own servers. See our Privacy Policy for details.

7f. Reporting abuse

If you believe content generated by Aven, or another user's use of Aven, is abusive, harmful, or violates these Terms, please use the Report Abuse page. We review reports and may take action including removing data or restricting access, at our discretion.

8. Partner program

Aven's partner program lets approved applicants earn a commission on purchases made through their unique referral link. Applying requires email verification and confirming you're 18 or older. Approval is at our discretion. Commission rates, payout schedules, and eligibility are set out on the partner program page and may be updated from time to time — continued participation after a change means you accept the update. We reserve the right to deactivate a partner account for fraudulent, abusive, or policy-violating referral activity, including self-referrals or misleading advertising of Aven's services.

9. Intellectual property

The Aven name, design, and underlying code are owned by us or our licensors. You may not copy, resell, or redistribute the service without permission.

10. Service availability

We aim to keep Aven available and responsive, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted access. Features depending on third-party AI providers may occasionally be delayed or unavailable if those providers experience outages.

11. Limitation of liability

Aven is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any decisions made, or outcomes experienced, based on Aven's suggestions.

11a. Data loss

We take reasonable precautions to keep your data (account details, leads, quiz answers, reports, payment records, uploaded resumes, and related information) safe and backed up. However, if any data is lost, corrupted, or becomes inaccessible for any reason — including but not limited to server failure, hosting provider issues, hardware failure, security incidents, force majeure events, or circumstances otherwise outside our reasonable control — the Company will not be liable for any such loss under any circumstances. We will make reasonable efforts to recover lost data where possible, but we do not guarantee recovery, and you agree that we bear no liability for any resulting loss or damage.

11b. Governing law & jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with your use of Aven shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Unnao, Uttar Pradesh, India — 209801, regardless of where you access Aven from.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of Aven after changes are posted means you accept the updated Terms.
